BASO Raven Lifetime Achievement Award 2016
2016 Recipient - Professor Robert Grimer
To mark the 40th Anniversary Annual Scientific Meeting, the
President and National Council of the Association created the
Ronald Raven Lifetime Achievement Award, acknowledging an
outstanding contributor to the field of surgical
oncology. The Award, in the form of an engraved
glass bowl bearing an inscription and the BASO~ACS crest,
recognizes the achievements and dedication of an individual whose
work has led to significant improvements in the care and treatment
of cancer patients.
The 2015 Award was made to Professor Neil
Mortensen, 2014 to Professor Charles Balch and 2013 to
Professor Michael Baum.
To nominate recipients for the 2017 Award, send
an email to Rattandeep Jhita giving the full name of the
person you wish to nominate, their current title/role and a brief
summary of why you think they should be considered. Please also
include your own contact details. The final decision will
be made by the BASO National Committee.
