2021 Abstracts Submission

Dates for Submission: 10th May - 30th July

Abstracts on all cancer related topics are invited. Presenting author must register for the meeting.

Blue Abstracts

There will be several sessions for presentations of clinical and basic science research papers during the conference. The  following BASO Awards will be presented at the meeting:

Awards open to Trainees

  • Alan Edwards Poster Prize
  • Ronald Raven Proffered Paper Prize
  • BASO~ACS Proffered Paper Prize
  • BASO Trainees AUDIT/QiP Prize - for audit / QiP projects only
  • BASO Trainees Prize

Award open to Non-Medical Professionals only

  • BASO Multidisciplinary Prize

This prize is open to Non-Medical professionals (e.g. nurses, allied healthcare professionals, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dieticians, managers, theatre staff, educators, cancer services managers, complementary therapy practitioners, charity representatives) that are involved in the care/provision of cancer patients.

Award open to Medical Students

  • BASO Medical Student Prize

This year BASO is establishing a new award  to support and encourage Medical Students with an interest in surgical oncology.

  • Opportunity to win prizes for best submissions.
  • To be considered for an oral presentation in a dedicated proffered paper session.

  • Shortlisted abstracts will be published in the European Journal of Surgical Oncology

Presenting Author must Register for the Meeting

Accepted abstracts for which a presenting author has not registered and paid the registration fee will be withdrawn, will not appear in any Conference materials, and will not be able to be presented at the Conference. Registeration details will be available soon.

 

Abstract Submission Instructions and formats

You will need to submit your abstract in four main sections: Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Abstracts must not be more than 250 words long. Download Full Instructions.
