BASO~ACS is a distinguished organisation representing all
the surgical specialists dedicated to treating people with
malignant diseases. Founded in 1971, BASO serves as a pivotal
forum for surgical research, training, and advancement, all aimed
at enhancing patient care in the field of
cancer.
BASO now represents oncology surgeons, trainees,
nurses, AHPs and their centres across UK, Ireland and has influence
beyond. We aim to support our colleagues with their
professional growth and enhance their expertise in surgical

the EJSO, an additional annual fee of £44 is applicable.
Reclaiming Your Tax
BASO~The Association For Cancer Surgery is an HMRC approved
(List 3) professional body. If you are a UK
taxpayer, the fee you pay for your membership may be tax-deductible
(eligible for tax relief). We suggest that if you
wish to claim tax relief against your professional fees, it would
be best to contact your local HMRC office, noting to them that the
BASO~ The Association For Cancer Surgery is an approved (List 3)
professional body.
