NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR CANCER SURGERY

The National Committee on Cancer Surgery (NCCS) provides a single, unified voice for cancer surgery. It acts as an independent voice on policy and strategy, including infrastructure, and is accountable solely to patients and cancer surgeons.

Its primary focus is the delivery of the highest quality cancer care, alongside advising on research and development and engaging with the global cancer surgery community.

The NCCS is broadly representative, with membership drawn from all surgical specialty societies, all Royal Colleges of Surgeons, the Royal College of Pathologists, the Royal College of Radiologists, and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

The NCCS provides independent advice to the NHS, the Department of Health and Social Care, and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer, and publishes policy positions for wide dissemination to professional, public, and policy audiences.
