BASO~ACS Paper Prize
Formerly awarded as The British Journal of Surgery Lecture and Prize
This Prize is open to all Residents.

The British Journal of Surgery Society Ltd (BJSS) is a registered charity, through which support is provided to surgical bodies, thereby advancing and improving education in surgery, diffusing knowledge on new and improved methods of teaching and practicing surgery in all its branches. The Society provided support for invited lectureships and surgical prizes at the BASO Annual Meeting over the years. However, due to the change of structure, BJSS has now discontinued to support this prize and lectureship grant.

From 2018 onwards, BASO continues to award the BJS Proffered Paper Prize as the 'BASO~ACS Proffered Paper Prize'.

The winner of this prestigious award recieves a certificate and an award of £600.
