The BASO International Fellowship supports consultant surgeons in cancer-related specialties to undertake overseas training and gain exposure to innovative surgical oncology techniques and practices.

Fellowship Objectives

๐Ÿ”ฌ Gain exposure to innovative international surgical oncology practices.
๐Ÿฅ Translate new techniques into UK clinical care.
๐Ÿ“ˆ Improve outcomes and quality of care for cancer patients in the UK.
๐ŸŒŸ Develop leadership within surgical oncology.


Application Requirements

Applicants should submit:

  • Clinical experience
  • Academic achievements

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed on:

โœ” Leadership and contribution to surgical oncology
โœ” Feasibility and quality of proposed training
โœ” Potential impact on UK patient care and services
โœ” Knowledge transfer and implementation plans


Fellowship Recipients

Successful fellows will act as BASO Ambassadors, promoting excellence in surgical oncology and integrating newly acquired expertise into UK practice.
