About the Fellowship

We are pleased to announce a joint initiative between the British Association of Surgical Oncology ~ The Association for Cancer Surgery (BASO~ACS) and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO). This fellowship has been established to support the next generation of surgical oncologists through international collaboration and shared learning.

One BASO~ACS Fellow will be appointed annually. 

Purpose

The Fellowship aims to:

  • 🎓Enhance training and education through global clinical exposure.
  • 🌍Foster international collaboration and professional networks.
  • 🩺Support improvements in cancer care and patient outcomes through shared learning.

🧾Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be a trainee or fellow in surgical oncology or a closely related specialty.
  • Be a current BASO~ACS member, or eligible for membership.
  • Be able to travel to India in October 2026.
  • Be available to attend the IASO Annual Meeting and observership during the Fellowship period.

Final eligibility and selection remain at the discretion of the BASO~ACS Council/Committee.
