BASO RAVEN TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP

Applications for 2018 are now invited.

The funds for this award are provided by the Ronald Raven Trustees in Memory of Ronald Raven, Founder of the Association. The Fellowship is open to trainees or recently appointed consultants who are under 40 years of age at the time of the application and who have gained the Fellowship of one of the British or Irish Colleges.

Applicants need not be members of BASO but applications must relate to the aims and objectives of the Association.

ESSO Fellowships in Breast Surgery

The ESSO Fellowship in Breast Surgery is to provide subspecialist education to surgeons who wish to have further specialised training in the multi-modality clinical care specific to the breast patient and a deeper training in breast cancer research.

The fellowship consists of at least 12 months of continuous education and training following successful completion of a residency program leading to board eligibility.

One-year fellowship position from August-September 2018 to August-September 2019.

Price Thomas Travelling Fellowship

Awarded by the Travelling Surgical Society of GB&I

This prestigious bursary is open to surgical trainees at ST7  to Consultants within 10 years of appointment.

All expenses including travel, accommodation, organised meals and course fees will be met by the society (a value of some £2,000). The award holder will deliver two talks during the trip.The award is open to surgeons in the following specialties:  General surgery, including any of the subspecialties (Breast, Colorectal, Upper GI, Hepato-pancreatico-biliary, Endocrine), Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Plastic, Urology, General Paediatric, Transplantation, Trauma or Military Surgery.
